Welcome to Junior Achievement of Alaska
Thank you for visiting our website. As JA ends the year ends and we move into our Spring semester, we would like to share some of the feedback we have received from both Teachers and Consultants in recent classes.
'I am very passionate about Junior Achievement and the benefits it has for the children of our community. I am proud to be part of the Fairbanks JA..'

'Her (Jessica Noble) lessons dovetailed perfectly with our social studies unit on "People Who Make a Difference" in explaining how communities work with its necessary workers, taxes, voting and banking. In particular, the donut lesson on assembly line vs. unit production was very helpful for our own fundraising efforts on behalf of the UAF Botanical gardens. Our students just wrapped wooden roses in preparation for our Valentine's sale next week and found that using a unit production form for wrapping the roses was better for quality control, i.e. no crushed tissue paper :-) .'

'Volunteering for JA is the best. I want to go back to school (hopefully sooner than later) to become a teacher. Elementary school teachers at that. JA gives me that opportunity to teach kids even if it is for only a few days. I love being there for the kids, espeically when they learn new things!! Thank you JA!!'

'I enjoyed my experience teaching in the classroom. The teachers were very encouraging. The children were always so excited to see me. It was such a great experience to impart knowledge to these children that will hopefully help them to take a more active stand in their community as they mature and become adults.'
